Have a funny twisted little Easter bunny shooting or whatever people usually do at this time of the year. I will be away until April 1st and I doubt I will have the will to blog more nonsense using a buggy 56K dial-up. Sorry, my nonsense is strictly high speed, broad band, i tuned, looney tuned, bungee jumped and blue.

It was grass mowing time this morning on the riverbanks next to my home. The smell of freshly cut grass and all that green (well it wasn’t that much actually) reminds me of my childhood in Germany.

I used to play with some of the neighbourhood children in a lawn next to where we lived and I regularly managed to come back home with green knees and my mother yelling at me

Maybe I have been kidnapped by a huge grass monster in that play field and this is the real reason for freshly cut grass reminds me of that place

Oh, there was also a [enter a couple of not so nice but not too bad words] old lady living next to the field, who would show up from a window and yell at us children, threatening us to call the police.

Obviously we didn’t care about her, ignoring or answering in a not too polite way (but still within a child’s vocabulary, of course). Now I would actually imagine myself the face of a lazy doughnut eating police officer who is being asked to arrest a bunch of snotty kids playing on a lawn

Ok. That’s all with my sick childhood memories. I just needed a break from XSD

Right now I am implementing WSDL and Schema import using a global Schema cache and some other nifty features. But it’s getting boring. I have also to deal with forward declared data types and other issues that make the whole code as overbloated as the XSD specs.

 
Bad News!!

I have finally managed to write a post about the new blog. Yes, the blog has a new (work -in-progress) theme and it has been moved to a new server with a custom WordPress installation.

So this post is about PHP (it sucks), Wordpress (it’s php, thus it sucks), flickr (it rocks - but I worked hard and found a couple of things that suck), me going to marry wynona and lots of bikinis.

As to a recent poll, 50% of raccoons bent on world domination believe that talking about bikinis in a blog is a good thing.
As to the same poll, 99% of the raccoons that will actually be trying to take over the world tonight says that wynona should get married to the author of this post.

Trim/split video files with mencoder:

mencoder -ss hh:mm:ss -oac copy -ovc copy in.avi -o out.avi
mencoder -endpos hh:mm:ss -ovc copy -oac copy in.avi -o out.avi

Remove an audio stream (the first stream has ID 1):

mencoder -aid 1 -ovc copy -oac copy in.avi -o out.avi
